The quote library is free to read and carries no display ads. Book links are the only commercial thing on it.
Amazon Associates
Some links on the quote pages go to Amazon. Where Sharp Thought is enrolled in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program — an affiliate advertising program that lets sites earn advertising fees by linking to amazon.com — those links carry our Associates tag.
When a link carries that tag, we earn from qualifying purchases. The price you pay is the same either way, and a quote page says so beside the link. Where no tag is configured, the link is an ordinary Amazon link and earns nothing.
What a buy link points at
Where we have confirmed a specific edition, the link goes to that edition's page, and the translator we quote is named on the quote page. Where we have not, the link is an Amazon book search for the title and author, so you can pick your own edition. We would rather send you to a search than name an edition we have not checked.
We do not show prices. They go stale, and the Associates terms restrict caching them.
Free readings come first
Most of the works quoted here are in the public domain. Where a free text exists, the "Read it free" link sits before the buy link, and it points at Wikisource, Project Gutenberg, the Internet Classics Archive or a comparable archive. Buying the book is never necessary to read the passage.
The journal has no ads
There are no ads in the Sharp Thought journal, in any tier, ever. This public library is the only part of Sharp Thought that runs a commercial program, and even here it is book links rather than display advertising. Your writing is never sold and never used for training.
